a reporter asks Ottawa
if they can truly trust China’s data
response: we trust science. we trust
science. we have to
trust science.
very well. Trump trusts himself, Trudeau trusts science
but will not answer about China
strange – has Ottawa remembered
the human history of science
or that people extrapolate data?
of course, the reporter is really asking Ottawa this:
can we truly trust you?

Hi friends! I hesitated to post this poem since I have no intention to discuss politics on this blog. Take it for what it is – an observer (myself) trying to make sense of the news. Right now the WHO is being called to be accountable for the data and recommendations they spread, even by our Canadian government (which has been very trusting of them). It seemed like a timely moment to enter this poem in the records of these uncertain times.
See you again after the weekend. 🙂
